Danielle Lazaris watched her Year 12 students face two school closures due to the threat of COVID-19 last year. Despite the uncertainty, the HSC students at Tangara School for Girls came out ranking 25th in the state, and it’s left us wondering, how did they do it? And how can we equip our students to excel in ordinary as well as challenging circumstances?
Danielle shares how she and other Tangara teachers are instilling virtues of hard work, good study habits, and strategies for improvement using different teaching techniques such as effective feedback, success criteria for each lesson and a resilient attitude to learning.
