The Reality Tunnels of Corruption
In the last issue of New Scientist, a cover feature argued that reality is created by communication. In quantum theory, there's the notion that observers necessary for potential state to turn into definite sort of thing. This was saying that it's not just being observed, it's being communicated. Yes, I think we are authoring reality. It's designed to help us understand the role of thought and belief in structuring the universe. Whatever you believe, your mind will immediately set about proving which leads us neatly into conspiracy theories.
