There has been, to some degree, a collapse of the institutions that matter most to young people. We have schools that for decades have been failing students academically and now we see the rise of charter networks which are teaching exactly the kind of self defeating narrative you're decrying. I mean, so where do we go from here? You say we need to rebuild these kinds of institutions, but it seems like these are ly things that are extraordinarily difficult to rebuild. There is no silver bullet policy that can be passed at the state or local level. But with regard to the falling away from religion and with regard to broken families, it's not clear at all that there's a sort of policy
