Is the Fraternal Order of Police a Problem?
The union poses a huge problem to being able to hold officers accountable because of what I described in regards to the process that they're able to use. In Minneapolis, for example, there have been like 40 or nearly 50 people who have went unconscious because of the chokehold that killed Eric Garner. Who's teaching that tactic? It's not the police department. The fraternal order of police is still teaching it. These places are like country clubs for police officers and not saying that they shouldn't have some of those things. But the point of saying that is that these unions are extremely, extremely powerful and influential.
