The Flood and Sodom

In 1926 Lot's wife behind him looked back and she became a pillar of salt. And here I think what this teaches us is that if the Bible tells us that God is going to destroy something we should work to bring our affections, our emotions, our dispositions into line with what God has revealed. Jesus associates the flood and Sodom as he's warning of coming judgment of the eschatological end time final judgment. There are a lot of parallels between the flood in Genesis 6 through 9 and the destruction of Sodom in Genesis 19.
