Origen's on Principles

Origen describes Christ as a teacher who is instructing the souls on how to improve their status. Unlike Araneus, he boldly suggests that the whole cosmos can be understood as the product of the souls fall and rise. Later critics of Origen tendentiously quote him in an effort to make him seem as heretical as possible.
