I think Freud gives us at least some of the meanings of pushing back against sex as exclusively about making babies. There is this form of narcissism sometimes in our object choice, right? Where we take our ego as the model for what we wanna find in another person. And I think that once one decouples, you know, once we're able to decouple sexuality from the reproductive process and no longer make it the telos, there is something perhaps more pure about it.
