The Brahmins and the Scheduled Castes in the Constitution
Seanyu al-Aingar's constitution of 1927 was a thing he says whether or not we get independence we must remove untouchability. Backward classes as defined in Mysore and Madras in those days simply meant anyone who was not a Brahmin. An Ambedkar said that if we didn't take this fact into account, there would be no representative, proper representation for people who are called backward classes in some of the southern states.
