CHAPTER

Is There Any Interest in Taking the Most Impartial Action?

There's not a ton of interest in that kind of action, like analyzing different approaches for doing the most impartial good from people who approach philosophy from a deontological point of view. It might also just be a kind of division of labor type of issue. If you are a non consequentialist philosopher, i think you probably think the place where you can add value to the convesation is in picking up on the kind of considerations that consequentialists are apt to miss with their singular focus on promoting the good.
