Did the Albanians in Kosovo Ever Try to Just Make a Thing With Albania Prior?

Albanians in Kosovo prefer to be part of Yugoslavia because they were freer there and had a higher standard of living. Albania in the 1970s was the poorest country in Europe. When government gives privileges to one ethnic group over another, it usually causes resentment. And I think that will cause to pretty much everything.
