CNN's John Defterios asks whether the U.S. should embrace a Cold War-style strategy with China. He says Beijing may see itself as vulnerable and need to take gambles in order to avoid being overtaken by its own people. The best way to prevent this, he argues, is to place inconvenient facts in their path of conquest west of the international date line. "We're trying to ensure that Taiwan's future doesn't become Ukraine's present," said Defterios.
