Is There a Difference Between Divine Simplicity and Atheism?
classical theist catherine rogers and open theist william haskar had a debate in two thous 11. One can certainly argue that another model of god does not seem to best capture an adequate notion of divine perfection. I think that's an acceptable argument forming christian discourse, and we should encourage that. What is unacceptable is to boldly assert that every one you disagree with is an idolater or atheist. This just leads me to say that the suggestion that our options are simplicity or atheism is itself ridiculous. So let us never speak of this mistake again.
