Are We Trying to Bring Knowledge to a Broader Public?
i think that the shared goal of trying to bring knowledge and insight to a broader public is something that both journalist and historians ought to embrace. And i do like those, once in a while you take a break from the more overtly pedagogical stuff, and it's just some fun stories from the past that, as you say, need to be retold. I find really frustrating, because done well, um, history and journalism are trying to accomplish a lot of the same goals.
