The Night Regiment

The 588th night bomber regiment flew in wood and canvas biplanes. 30 of its members died in combat. 23 of them were awarded the hero of the Soviet Union title. A 1928 design intended for use as training aircraft and for crop dusting. The most produced biplane in all of aviation.
