Paulo Fereri and the Importance of Criticism

I love Bill Hook's teaching to trans-grass. She does a whole chapter on how important Paulo Fereri's ideas were to her. I found that in his early work, he almost deified technology as an answer and then could a way to control nature. He was open to critique, he invited critique and he would respond to it. But yes, there were things problems with it, like some of the sexist language and he doesn't completely understand racism.
