The Most Common Mistakes People Are Making When They're Going to Fundraise
The most common mistake is that you say you're fundraising too early and well before you're ready. This also prevents issues down the line because if you take on an investor too transactionally, you're going to not have the depth of the relationship to carry you through tough times later. I'd say I'm very lucky at Bolt. We got rejected by a lot of the tier one VC firms who moved from zero to 60 really quickly. It happens more than you think. The reason I wrote these things is to build awareness for the next generation of founders to just proceed with caution and build good relationships"
