Is the Universe Expanding?

Daniel: I think that person misunderstood what I was trying to do with my question. She thought it was wandering around campus looking for somebody to explain this paper to me. Daniel: The universe is expanding and that expansion is speeding up. Every year, galaxies out there are moving away from us faster and faster. We measure their velocity relative to us by looking at how the light from them is red shifted.
