The Clarifying Question Is Not to Solve the Case
In a decision tree approach, candidates take some time to ask clarifying questions. Then from there they build a structure what drives profitability or clearly it'll be revenue and costs. Once you have the drivers of revenue and the drivers of costs, then develop an hypothesis for each branch. The key question is not to solve the case but to identify the key question.
