The Importance of Thinking Deeply
Ishiguru: Be rigorous. Do you want to try to be good or not? How interested in the craft are you? Are you going to get serious about the craft? So I thought I wouldn't get serious about it. It strikes me as something that you might get so far into a project that you're writing and you just can't see. You would just ditch it. Yeah. And one of the great things about screenplay in comparison to a novel is that you can discover whether to ditch it after five weeks. If you've blown through, you will be doing a best, very mediocre screenwriting. Just stop, do something else.
