Gwen Stefani took a while to emerge as No Doubt's driving force and focal point. It took no doubt nearly a decade to become an overnight success. The band formed technically the Dairy Queen, in my opinion the best place to form a band. Eric will later say that John Spence was the inspiration for the whole band.
