Blessed or Again Happy Are You Who Are Poor for Yours Is the Kingdom of Heaven

There is a lot of controversy about how to interpret Jesus opening line in Sermon on the Mount. I think what Jesus is saying is listen, you can be happy even if you're poor and under the boot of the Roman Empire as a first century Jew. Even if you came here hungry and I gave you some food, but you went home and tomorrow morning you're hungry again, you can still be blessed. How? Because you can enter the kingdom of God right here and right now through me.
