Is Hydrogen a Good Fuel for the Environment?

If we are capturing methane from a pipe line, then that is fossil carbon. When you talk about methane from rotting vegetation in a land fill or from manure from animals, that's carbon that was just taken out of the atmosphere recently. So bio gas, as we usually refer to it, has really a near zero nect carbon footprint. And so that's really an ideal type of fuel, as long as it can be managed well. But the idea isn't it increase the amount of ethanan en? One of the big worries is this huge boom and investment in the the hydrogen industry. And most of this is not hydrogen made from renewables, is it? No. I would only advocate
