The House of Cards
In the summer of 19 29, few people realized that the bubble was near a bursting point. While stock prices soared, new car sales and building construction had declined. A sharp drop thmarket in early september was a warning sign of the danger on the horizon. On october 20 fourth, 19 29, a drop in stock prices caused a frenzy of sales. Wall street traders stable the market temporarily by buying up shares over the next few days. Five days later, on black tuesday, the house of cards collapsed.
