The Importance of a Team Approach to Endocarditis
I think a key part of what makes our team effective is that we're just that the team. And so we, as she alluded to, have a separate ID consult service where we exclusively see patients with endocarditis and cardiac device infections. I would really encourage people to have an open mind as they think about doing this. It is different than what we do historically. But the point I always stress is that our outcomes for patients with end cardiomyopathy historically are not good.
