The Hard Work of Happiness

i think that the best sermons, they feel more like real life, not just like the library. We don't just want to approach things from an intellectual point of view. Some people think that something is more spiritual if it's more intellectual. And there's something that the lord is speaking on the subject of the hard work of happiness. It took me until age 70 to realize that happiness is really hard work. i was watching a documentary and that quote came up. I looked over at her, and she didn't look like it really registered at all at a deep level.
