China Needs a Sizable Security Apparatus

The Biden administration has been looking to build on what the Obama administration was doing, which was building competing institutions and security partnerships in the region. China needs a sizable security apparatus in order to maintain control over its very large and very unique regions of a very large country. Admittedly, China has some features about it that now the United States has decided that it's going to try and contain China. The tendency for rising states to become more aggressive as they become more fearful of impending decline cannot be found in any scholastic sounding term until two weeks ago.
