The Importance of Regional Lenders in the Recession
The real question will become more for the regional lenders, Jim. Don't mature smaller banks that are paying more for the deposits they still have. Even though they're able to lend it a bit of a higher rate, there may not be as much demand given how high rates are or what they're willing to offer. And so the profitability for many of those banks is going to be impinged. But we know that. That's why many of them have traded off.
