In 2020, nearly 20,000 people were killed in homicides involving guns. That's more than any year in at least the last 20 years. The vast majority of gun owners are responsible gun owners who don't use their weapons for violence. But that being said, it really only takes a small percentage of those weapons being used for the wrong purposes to cause trouble.
