John was very well known, but i think that the big point about john for me is is his humility. The rabbis had mandated, every task that a slave does for his master will a disciple do for his teacher, except one, he cannot loosen his sandals. So they said, if you're a follower of a famous teacher, you can't loosen their sandal. Well, john says, i'm not even worthy to do that, you know. He ah, he these big desert locusts. That's like elijah. And very humbly, john says,. i'm just a voice calling in the wilderness.
