Splicing Is a Game Changer
The main issue that in my view holds MUSIG and Taproot back on the base layer transactions is that people don't understand how hard it is to make interactive signatures work in real world. Splicing provides a way to dynamically reduce the liquidity in the channel, which will effectively allow the LSP to reuse the liquidity without closing the channel. So that's a very important feature for liquidity management and for reducing cost. If we have ideally, and yes, that's the ideal, and that's where we want to head, one channel per user,. It means that every single user is represented by one on-chain transaction; that's the future that we want.
