The Turkish general election is a week on Sunday. It's elections for parliament and the presidency, but it's the first time in the 20-year rule of regip-type Erdogan that he really has a serious challenger. He himself is the leader of the main opposition party here, the Republican People's Party. And he's a very interesting and sort of unlikely figure.
