How to Cope With a Class Like This
A lack of knowledge on the secondary teachers part of exactly what's happened at primary school. It's all well and good knowing what the student should know, but it's a completely different thing what they actually do know. We're very lucky because everything that we're teaching in school level mathematics is infinite. There isn't one of them that you couldn't extend to make it suitable for undergraduates.
