The Rise of Donald Trump in the Republican Party

The Iraq fiasco fueled discontent with the normal elite within the Republican Party and that was something that Donald Trump with his isolationist instincts ceased on very effectively. Now you see Ron DeSantis who is the quintessential finger to the win politician who in 2014 won the Russians invaded Crimea sounded like a traditional hawk wanting to support the Ukrainians now he's adopted that Trumpist isolationist quasi pro-Russian line of being very skeptical of aid to Ukraine. I think that's where the Republican Party is headed and that's part of the reason why I'm no longer a Republican I don't recognize this party and that's not something I want to be a part of.
