The Differences Between Stylate and Bougie for Adult Intubation
Stylate vs Bougie is pretty much our go-to in the UK when we think about adult intubation and you can absolutely use a Bougie in pediatrics. The neonatal Bougie is actually quite stiff and because it's so thin it actually has to be relatively rigid to be of any use whatsoever. You've got to be pretty careful when you advance it that you don't actually kind of pierce any airways or cause any trauma to the airway. As with everything we've talked about you need to make sure that you are comfortable with that patient cohort and the equipment that comes with it.
