The Rebirth of German Myth

Nietzsche is almost always a negative figure for Nietzsche. But yet Luther, he is a rebel and was the stirring of something of a German identity. He helps to define it and carve out a destiny that is uniquely German. And so if there is a rebirth of German music that means that there can be a reborn of German myths, that is what he hopes for. So keep our sight trained on the example of the Greeks in trying to confront our cultural moment now.
