The Complexity of Italy
Italy is a very feared concept. Italy never really existed. It was like a patchwork of very different places from a South-earth kingdom to the Vatican state, to the northern communes and some part of Ostrangaric Empire. So it's totally made up concept. You cannot visit Italy. But even Italian language is totally artificial. And funny enough, actually, once I got to Siracusa, I actually quite enjoyed that. Also, yellow comments on how southern Italy is a very Greek influence.
