The Path of Mercy and Compassion
God uses an object lesson to show Jonah the posture of his heart. God tells Jonah that he mourns a plant he had no part in creating. How much more does God care about the people of Nineveh, who he created? Like Jonah, God has given us a mission to share the gospel. It may not be to people we like or even think deserve grace and forgiveness but it is our calling.
