The Importance of Concurrent Treatment in Rare Disease
I keep wondering all the generations before us that had to go through all the randomized clinical trials to give us the drugs we have today. Do we have an obligation to try to at least participate in these experiments for the greater good? Yes, we do. If you don't want to, you don't have to. But if you do, then please participate in a good trial. It's ethically questionable to put someone in a bad study. You put them at risk without a lot of benefit in the end.
