The House of Death was a special torture center built to British standards. It had an asbestos lined cold room, which was just supposed to bombard people with noise while they sat there for days. And all of the rooms had monitoring equipment so that the interrogators could hear their victims heartbeat. They were designed to destructure the personality of the prisoners without touching them.
