The Developer Experience
Muse's persistence layer is built on top of a relational data base. The system has to smartly manage what gets pulled up from disk into memory and what gets flushed back. A lot of critical operations can take place directly against the data base, or the data layer can smartly manage bringing stuff in out of memory. Some like we have the whole muse corpus up in memory aany one time.
