What Is a Fedahid?

The Balkan Wars left a wound that radicalized and scarred the country's leadership. It was referred to at the time as a kind of Fedahid culture, a Cheta G culture. And it becomes a really important feature of the history of the Ottoman Empire in its last years. There is this fetishization of characters who are willing to fight and die for the state.
