The Epidemiology of Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas Following ALL Treatment

The study analyzed data of patients from 12 collaborative pediatric ALL trials conducted between 1980 and 2018. 85 patients developed NHL with the dominant subtype being Mature B-cell lymphoproliferation. More than 80% of these cases occurred either during ALL maintenance therapy or within six months of maintenance therapy completion. The authors concluded that the majority of post-ALL lymphoid neoplasms are associated with an immunodeficient state, which is likely precipitated by ALL maintenance therapy.
