This technology was very popular like probably around a decade ago, maybe a little older in like traditional speech recognition systems. We hope that attempts to speak would still evoke these really differentiable patterns in the brain area that normally controls the vocal tract. And that we would be able to use these patterns to decode what they're trying to say. I mean, my phone still seems to think that I use the word ducking a lot, but I don't.
