The Failure of Venezuela

Venezuela has isolated itself politically as a result of the determination of its leader Maduro and his predecessor, Ugo Chavez. The country that's holding the most powerful bargaining chip to force Venezuela back to the path of democracy is the United States. By 2025 a quarter of Venezuelans will have left the country, including all four of our expert witnesses. It seems safe to argue that Venezuela almost embodies the definition of a failed state.
