The One Major Barrier to Me Working 15 Hours a Week
If housing weren't so hugely expensive, if we actually were responding to the increase in productivity by producing more housing units and allowing them to become more affordable then perhaps people would be free to work fewer hours. I think that's really the area that we need to focus on. We need to do a full wholesale review of housing regulations that are constraining supply. And that could lead to people really feeling that increase in productivity, perhaps being free to work less.
