How Jesse Conlangs to Create a New Language

The first time I ever tried conlanging, I was in fifth grade. It wasn't really a language until I took linguistics courses in college because it was really just a code for English. And so at that point, I did have enough knowledge about language and how language worked to create an actual conlang. Since then, I started teaching a course whenever I got my position at SFA. They allowed me to create a new course, which I called invented languages. So now every time I teach that course, I create a new language along with my students.
