Why Women Shouldn't Diet
This is why professor vester started to do a deep dive into this topic in the first place. She noticed that all her female protagonists, who are struggling with empowerment, freedom and the limitations of society that they get as a woman, were all thin. This is why i thought the topic was so resting. It actually has a lot more to do with dress reform. So women didn't want to wear corsets any more. And maybe even more importantly, it's a political thing, a way for men and women to be equal in society. Yes, it's really meant to be a woman's rights issue.
