In the midst of this he gets a letter from Oppenheimer asking for his help. He flies back to Los Alamos and within 24 hours has made vital contributions. Then later when they are looking for more computational power at the time that we're still pretty dependent on slide rules, von Neumann is sent off as kind of a representative to find more computing power. And then he bumps into another mathematician Herman Goldstein who discovers the ENIAC project which has been going on. Like for some reason not been told about it even though he's trusted by the military and he has to discover this incredible machine.
