The Importance of Dr. Manhattan
The actor says the show was driven by a Robin D'Angelo type thing that's about actually more about white people and like their feelings. "If I make Dr. Manhattan black, like then that will somehow like, you know, that will make me like better," he said. The character of Dr. Manhattan adopts an identity as a man who has been killed to be able to wear what kind of skin his creator wants him to use.
