The Impact of Free Throws in the NBA

The rule was designed to increase pace and flow in the g league because it made sense for their product. It didn't shave as much time off a game as we had projected in part because players line up slower for the free throw when they know there's only one instead of two. "We're nowhere close to implementing that at the NBA level back home" says ESPN president Larry Cevallos.
